DESCRIBE HOW YOU HAVE MENTORED OTHER WOMEN IN THE COMMUNITY
I have been on governing board for WCR since 1998.  I try to encourage and advance others in the
leadership skills.  I firmly believe God uses me to mentor to other women in everyday life.  My nature is
to help others and to listen to see how or what I can do to help them find ways to better improve their
situation.

Any additional information
Walk with Pride is a program that provides shoes for children going back to school.  The Abilene
Association of REALTORS® along with the Women’s Council of REALTORS® and our affiliates raise
money all year long for two special nights in August.  It is our chance to give back to the community and
provide shoes for children who qualify.  We normally have 600-700 kids that leave with a new pair of
socks and shoes.  We spend $10,000 -$15,000 per year.  We have around 30 volunteers each night that
show up and help the children pick out and try on shoes.  It has been my honor to chair this program for
over 10 years.  This program is very near and dear to my heart!
