I couldn’t think of a better way to begin my year as State Treasurer …

I couldn’t think of a better way to begin my year as State Treasurer than with the TREPAC Waiter event, which was held during the TAR Winter Meeting and WCR State Conference in February.  think of a better way to begin my year as State Treasurer than with the TREPAC Celebrity The event was a TREPAC fundraiser, and we did just that…over $12,000 was raised for TREPAC that evening!  The theme was “Like, Totally 80’s” and it was definitely looking like it!  Lots of fluorescent colors, bangle bracelets, pony tails and BIG hair were found throughout the ballroom!  Guests were encouraged to purchase fun items from all of the table vendors using TREPAC dollars.  TAR officers and directors as well as TREPAC Trustees took part in the festivities as well.

There was plenty of entertainment and the food was great!  A silent auction was held with great items donated by State and Local Chapter members, so nobody left empty-handed!  This event is held every year during the February meeting, with a different theme each year.

There are two major State fundraising events per year, held at each of our WCR State Conferences, and through these fundraising events as well as the participation of our State Annual and Event Strategic Partners, our WCR Texas Chapter is able to provide outstanding education sessions and speakers to our members.  Information on our next event at the September Conference will be coming soon, so be watching for it!

Between conferences, I will be assisting our Local Chapters with budgets, financial reports, QuickBooks set-up, tax filing, and education on Not-for-Profit rules and procedures.  Please do not hesitate to give me a call or send me an email if you have questions at any time throughout the year.
