Celebrating WCR Texas Chapter “Super District Meeting”!

The 2014 WCR Texas State “Super” District Meeting, was held February 6, 2014, at the beautiful Hyatt Regency Austin, Texas.

In our great State of Texas, there are three State Areas – Area A, Area B and Area C – and a total of seven Districts within those Areas.  Districts gather for a yearly meeting and this opens opportunities to work together as a team in a professional setting with the Governors, District Vice Presidents, Local Chapter Presidents, Officers, Committee Chairs and Members. The District Meeting focuses on presenting educational speakers and educational workshop sessions that provide attendees with relevant information to take back to their Chapters.  We also spotlight the accomplishments of each of our Local Chapters with their Chapter President giving an update on membership, programs and & events for the year.

This year was an exceptional District Meeting due to the diligent planning of the Governors, District Vice Presidents, and the Chapter Updates given by the superb Local Chapter Presidents. Prior to the District Meeting, there were planning/training sessions held at the Back Forty for all State Officers with guidance from President Sharon Morton, the Executive Team and Past Presidents Carolyn Wyckoff and Sandra Hunt. The Executive Team and State Officers focused on  venue selection and planning the Agenda for the Area/District “break-outs”, education sessions and dynamic Speakers which led to a successful “Super” District Meeting.

Featured Speakers/Trainers for the day were:

She is currently the owner of T Blackwell Insurance Group-an independent insurance agency for home, auto, life and small commercial insurance. Tracey is also a training facilitator and consultant for leadership courses at the   H-E-B Grocery Company .

Terri Murphy:  A consultant for the National Association of REALTORS®, Terri traveled from Memphis Tennessee to join us as our Keynote Speaker! She is recognized as one of the top 50 Most Influential Women in Real Estate Leadership. A noted Author, Speaker, Professional Trainer and Coach, she shared with us a vast library of online communication and e-learning channels, specifically directed to Sales, Marketing, Communication, Leadership, and Women in Business.  Terri “wowed” all attendees with her energy and wealth of information for creating value and differentiation in the market place.

This District Meeting was very informative and exciting.  It was great fun mingling/networking with our members and guests and expanding relationships within our Women’s Council Family. I challenge and encourage each of you to attend this great event each year.  A special thanks to all for taking time from your busy life to make this “Super” District meeting a huge success.  I know this allowed you to take back the knowledge you acquired to your Chapters.

It is my honor and privilege to serve,
