Area A-1 – Off to an Awesome 2015!

Area A-1 Chapters – Austin, Highland Lakes, Hill Country & San Antonio have all hit the ground running as individual chapters as well as being part of the Area A team!

Within a short amount of time, Awesome Area A pulled together like the leaders that they are to put together the first of our District Meetings at the beautiful new Austin Association of REALTORS® facility.  On February 5th, Area A hosted our first District meeting.  Attendees were able to earn MCE credits from a Constant Contact presentation.  The meeting concluded with a lively legislative update and discussion by State Representative Joe Pickett.  Great Job Area A!!!

Individually, these chapters have set high 2015 goals and are well on their way to making them a reality!

Austin seeks to become a MEGA chapter, and has increased their REALTOR® membership numbers by 2 since the first of the year.   They held a “Denim, Diamonds & Rubies” membership mixer event on February 25th.  More exciting events are planned such as their Kentucky Derby Day in March and their TREPAC Cake Auction in April!

Highland Lakes has set their membership goal as at a 10% increase in REALTOR® members and have added 3 new members since January.  Their first membership mixer is planned as a dinner on April 1st.  They also held a Headshot Fundraiser at the Highland Lakes Association of REALTORS®  More plans for the year include a 2nd Annual Boat Property Tour in June, October Murder Mystery Dinner and a partnership event with the Texas Wounded Warrior Foundation in May.

Hill Country remains constant with their membership holding at 48 REALTOR® members with a total of 55 members.  They are working hard on another successful Bras for a Cause event, and plan on having a community outreach program each quarter.

San Antonio has increased their membership from 89 to 92 REALTOR® members since January.  They are also working on their membership mixers and have a number of events planned.  In February they held their Baskets for Beauties to benefit the San Antonio Battered Women’s Shelter giving away 100 baskets.  They also have Operation K-9 scheduled for May.

It’s a privilege to serve!
