What a busy season it has been for Texas District A-2
Brownsville kicked off with a visit from our esteemed Governor Dawn Lavka. In conjunction with the visit, Brownsville also held a super fundraiser featuring a local favorite game……. Scheduled for Aug/Sept they will be hosting a PMN class & for the HHH-summer contest are offering a gratis lunch for new & sponsoring members…what a treat! Membership planning includes “Host a Spa Day” at a discounted price for new members…..Great work B-town. VPM-Ludy Fisher.
Hill Country Chapter is on the move so watch out Texas they are climbing fast meeting their 12-4-12 goal at the beginning of the year + are still recruiting faster than lighting! Upcoming events include….. Shows & Tails Dog Fair in Aug. & Bras for a Cause in Oct. Hill Country had the best idea to have a local builder donate an IPad for the member who recruits the most new National REALTOR® Members…HCC is HOT HOT HOT. Super Job Hill Country! VPM-Isaac Mahone.
Another yearn goes by and McAllen Chapter had an outstanding turn-out at their annual fashion show “Run for the Roses” benefiting Mujers Unidas-Women United with 36 models, tons of door prizes and “a nite at the races” shown on 6 screens….Muy Caliente events will include a mini-call a thon & a builder hosted membership drive, they also had a booth at the Region 11 TAR meeting. Scheduled for Oct is the 2nd Annual Pink Party for Breast Cancer Awareness. McAllen celebrates 35 years! VPM-Monica Rodriguez
MEGA congrats to THE Alamo City!!!!!, what a win in D.C….I hear there is a victory party in the making. S.A. Chapter also loaded up the buses for their famous “Margarita Tour” and held “Pooches in the Park”. Along with creating incredible dog houses and getting a flavor for San Antonio, these events are not only member generators, but a sure fire way of having fun & building relationships with Women’s Council.
