Area C is On Fire!
I am completely blown away by the Area C chapters’ level of professionalism, organization, and understanding of providing value to our members. These chapters have their programs planned and set up for success! Everyone is pulling together for our District Meeting with our national president, Sindy Ready, in April.
Bay Area Houston – Johnna Little and her line are coming off a huge win as Texas State WCR Chapter of the Year in 2014 and they aren’t resting on their laurels. Their programs are providing tools to improve their members’ business – from branding to tax preparations. They are also utilizing FB to celebrate their successes.
Fort Bend – Christina Daw and her officers are providing great programing for their members, as well. They started out the year with a program on conflict resolution. In February they addressed the touchy subject of “Meth, Mold, & Marijuana” and how it affects your transactions. Their March program was on ‘Overcoming Obstacles.” They are also did a community service program of donating bed linens for the Fort Bend Women’s Shelter.
Golden Triangle – Stacey Long started her year off with a leadership retreat and has her chapter poised for a successful year. They had a mortgage panel at their February meeting and are planning their “Murder Mystery Dinner” fundraiser.
Great Northwest Chapter – Christy Stratton is rocking and rolling with great programs. They started off with “Maximizing Your Resources” and how leveraging WCR, HAR, and GHBA can help your business. February, Mattress Mack spoke about serving customers and March’s program is on New Home Sales 101. I think that this chapter has a strong handle on member value!
Greater West Houston Chapter – Shawn Jones has got it going on! His chapter has worked a deal with the Cy Fair Houston Chamber of Commerce to provide Chamber membership to each of his WCR members. He has also working with a mobile mammogram provider to offer 3D mammograms to our members in Houston and possibly through out the state! Shawn also arranged a retreat in January to help educate his new officers.
Houston Chapter – Ms. Peggie Pentecost’s officer’s hit the ground running. I was fortunate to be able to attend her officer orientation in January. Their January program was on “The Importance of an Economically Viable City to Real Estate” that was delivered by the Harris County Treasurer. February was a financial panel discussion.
Lake Houston Chapter – Amy Craft is also providing great programming for her members. Her January meeting was on the “Mobile and Paperless Agent.” February’s meeting was on “Budget & Planning your 2015 Year.” The March meeting was a presentation on Generation Park.
Montgomery County Chapter – Amanda Fails has her programs for the year all lined up. January was a Legal Update. In the spirit of Valentines Day, they had a program called “Fall in Love with New Construction”, and their March meeting was their Spring Auction.
It is truly an honor to work with these fine chapters. I look forward to seeing everyone at the District Meeting and visiting with each chapter throughout the year.
