Area C-District 7 is Growing and Thriving!
Bay Area Chapter
Led by Don Jones, the Bay Area Chapter had a rebound year. Ending the year strong, in October the Bay Area Chapter held a TOP PRODUCER PANEL called: Tips from the Street! In November, the Bay Area Chapter had Nathan Goble from Houston Association of REALTORS® speak about: “Work Smarter, Not Harder!” Nathan spoke about The Realist® system. This system is easy to use for those looking to do a basic tax record search but also provides additional features for those that want to take advantage of more advanced functionality like map based searches or access to in depth property data, community information and trend data.
In December, the Bay Area Chapter introduced their NEW 2015 Officers : President: Johnna Little, President Elect: Natasha Valasek, Secretary: Yvonne Grayson, Treasurer: Troy Evans, Vice President of Membership: Shae Colter. This NEW group will continue the efforts of the 2014 Team by continuing to build a strong Chapter.
Lastly, the Bay Area Chapter is growing! They have previous members returning and potential NEW Members requesting to be added to the mailing list. Showing Member Value, the Bay Area Chapter rolled out what they call “REALTOR® Spotlight Listing”. The first Member whose listing was highlighted was Cheryl Volirakis.
The Houston Chapter is led by President, Peggy Pentecost. What a year for this Chapter! Peggy has brought the oldest WCR Chapter in the State of Texas back to being one of the most packed and thriving Chapters in the State. Good Job Houston Chapter!
In October, they invited 25 year veteran Chuck Poteet to talk about the “Economic Climate Contributions to the Real Estate Market Place”. It was a packed house as Chuck enlightened the group about the dynamics that affect our business locally-past and present. Also in October, the Houston Chapter held their Annual “REALtours of Luxury”. The REALtours of Luxury is an anticipated event where the Houston Chapter takes Members and Potential Members on a Motor Coach Tour of Multi-Million Dollar Homes in Tanglewood, Memorial, and The Galleria area. And, in November, the Houston Chapter HOSTED a WCR Mixer called “Fun Holiday Shopping and Networking Mixer”. One of the objectives was to support local female business owners. The Houston Chapter asked Members to bring an unwrapped toy for a boy or girl under the age of 8 to donate to Kid’s Meals. The November Business Luncheon was a treat! Very educational and unique. The Houston Chapter HOSTED: Volunteer “Superstar Panel of Real Estate Professionals”. The event was moderated by Rita Santamaria with Champions School of Real Estate.
Lastly, in December, the Houston Chapter introduced their2015 Executive Line. Peggy Pentecost, who is the 2014 President, will also return as the 2015 President of the Houston Chapter. With her Leadership, I’m sure this is going to be an EPIC year for the Houston Chapter. Congratulations!!
Golden Triangle Chapter
Lead by President Donna Bennefield, this chapter stabilized this year. Their objective was to grow the chapter and increase attendance at the monthly Business Resource Luncheon Meetings. They did both and had some fun mixers along the way!
The attendance at monthly Business Luncheons increased in size. And, they are continuing to see an increase in membership as well. This chapter has turned the corner and 2015 should be a successful year!
In December, the Golden Triangle installed their 2015 Officers! Stacey Long, President. Scarlett Brekel, President-Elect. Patti Bobbitt, Secretary. Charity Daigle, Treasurer. James Johnson, Vice President of Membership.
Lake Houston Chapter
The word “Growth” is an understatement for this Chapter! Chapter President Kathleen Sandy is the “CAPTAIN” of the Lake Houston Ship and she has done a great job.
They grew this chapter because they have GREAT topics at their Business Resource Luncheons that attract both MEMBERS and GUESTS!
Amy Craft is taking over the helm in 2015. Amy displays very strong leadership skills and should be on course to keep this chapter heading in the right direction. Her support staff was carefully selected to ensure that 2015 will pick up right where 2014 left off. Lake Houston is on their way to the TOP!
Thank you for the honor to serve,
District Vice President – Area C District 7
