Women’s Council is Truly a Great Organization!
Thank you for allowing me to serve as your 2014 Secretary!
Women’s Council is truly a great organization that I am proud to be a part of. It has been and continues to be a rewarding experience for me both personally and professionally. Women’s Council Texas Chapter continues to look toward the future to provide its members with the tools and resources that will help each of us grow personally and professionally.
It has been an honor to serve my State Chapter as Secretary and has been rewarding because of the experience and knowledge l have acquired. I enjoyed working with all the Secretaries. They were dedicated and committed to Women’s Council and their task of recording the minutes and were cognizant of recording them correctly. I hope they will continue their journey as Leaders and Mentors in Women’s Council.
It was an honor to serve and represent our Texas Chapter on the National scene. For the past two years In February, I had the opportunity to travel to Chicago for Steering Committee Training sessions. Serving on the Steering Committee at the National Conventions were rewarding and a learning experience of a lifetime. This past August, I served on the faculty team at Leadership Academy in Chicago. There is an old quote that states “If you want to learn something, read about it. If you want to understand something, write about it. If you want to master something, teach it”. That’s how I feel about Leadership Academy. Maybe, not mastered, but I learned so much!
It was rewarding to see how we all united and worked together, to end our 2014 year with a growth in Membership and saving Our Governors. Let’s keep Texas Big and Vibrant and the best we can be and always focusing on the needs and growth of our members both personally and professionally.
I humbly “Thank You” for the opportunity to serve as your 2014 State Secretary and I look forward to serving as your 2015 President Elect, continuing growing and learning right along with you!
I wish you all a very Prosperous New Year!
All my Best,
2014 Texas State Secretary
