The sun was shining down on me the day I was selected to be the WCR Area A Texas State Governor.
This is truly the most fabulous group of people in the entire state and they proved it by inviting everyone to attend the Area A meeting that was held in Austin on Feb 23, 2012 for free. The meeting was designed to be both a venue for learning and sharing. The Local Chapter Presidents ran the meeting and led two roundtables which provided insight and valuable information to the participants on the topics of fundraising and mining membership for leaders. Thank you to the great Area A Local Chapter Presidents: Anita Farrell, Cindy Cox, Jane Marie Hurst, Martha Maldonado, Marty Chrisman, Paty Arriaga, and Velma De Los Santos for their great efforts and talents in putting this together!
2012 marks a milestone in the history of the Austin Chapter of the Women’s Council of REALTORS®…they will be celebrating their 55th year of service in this great organization. And in typical Austin fashion, they have got a great year planned full of fun and educational opportunities. Educational offerings will include everything from a business dining etiquette course to performance management courses and fun is top of the agenda during their fundraising events this year which will include a Casino Night in April and Bras for a Cause which will be held in October.
Highland Lakes Chapter
In 2002 the Highland Lakes Chapter of the Women’s Council of REALTORS® was incorporated by the founding members of the Chapter. Today, 10 years later, many of these same members are seen at the business resource meetings and helping out on various committees and special projects. All members are appreciative of their vision is establishing this chapter. One of the highlights of the year will be the opportunity to act as the host Chapter for the Leadership Orientation scheduled for October 25-27 here the Marriott Horseshoe Bay Resort. The chapter members look forward to welcoming each and every one of you to the area and sharing our little slice of heaven with you.
