Greater Tarrant, Collin County and Southwest Dallas Chapters were present at the National Women’s Council Convention in Washington, D.C. where the education was plentiful and memories were made. A Big CONGRUALATIONS to Mary Nelson, President Elect for Collin County for completing the requirements and obtaining the PMN Designation. All of her hard work and dedication was recognized in front of the National Membership in Washington DC.
Greater Tarrant County sprang into Spring with a Fabulous Fashion Show at Ridgela County Club “Dress for Success” 12 Realtors from different Companies across Tarrant County strutted on the Runway. It was a great event with rave reviews. The beautiful spring weather complimented a Site Tour and Introduction to the newest upscale development in West Fort Worth given by Michael Dike, President of Village Homes. Safety was at the top of the list in May, with a Crime Prevention Seminar presented by National Speaker Gary Politte owner of Protection Against Crime. His #1 Tip: “Pay Attention to Your Surroundings” . Education was highlighted with a Free MCE Class on the TREC Contract change. A BIG SHOUTOUT to Greater Tarrant County since March the Chapter has added 5 New Members and has 1 renewal!!!! Way to GO!!! Congratulations to this Chapter for achieving the 2013 Gold Excellence Award, presented at the National WCR Conference in Washington, DC. And it’s Celebration Time for Greater Tarrant County for winning the State June Recruiting Contest for Small Chapters!!
South West Dallas County Learned “How to Achieve Wealth in Your Business and be Financially Successful”. Financial Planner and Wealth Acceleration Coach, Sheila Lofton, shared with the Chapter, marketing ideas, technology updates and a slew of information relating to the Real Estate Industry. “Realtor Safety” is always a great concern. Doug Sisk, Crime Prevention Specialist with the Duncanville Police Department was happy to address safety issues and how NOT to be a victim. The “Concealed Carry” Law was explained. In June the Chapter presented a Noon Tea and Fashion Show. It was the Chapter’s pleasure to have, Texas Chapter State, President, Sharon Morton attend this event. All Models were sponsored by Vendors and Affiliates in an effort to raise funds to help with Chapter’s Community involvement Programs and WCR Scholarships. A partnership with Texas Workforce to gather “Gently Used” Business Attire for women returning to the workforce was also kicked off at this event. A great Event and Fun was had by all. Congratulations to the South West Dallas Chapter for achieving “Gold” for Chapter Excellence presented at the National Conference in Washington, D.C.
Collin County has been focused on and in their Community. In April, a Dallas Builder Association Panel reviewed the status of builder inventory and plans for new homes in the North Texas area. May brought “Wylie ISD…Best kept secret in Collin County”.. Well… It’s Not a Secret anymore they “Let the cat out of the Bag”. Keeping within the Community, Mr. Michael Simpson, CEO Boys & Girls Club of Collin County spoke at the June Business Resource Meeting. He spoke of the various programs offered and how to become involved with such a wonderful organization. Congratulations to the Collin Chapter for achieving “Gold” for Chapter Excellence presented at the National Conference in Washington, D.C. A big “Way To Go” for winning the April and May State Membership Contest for both Recruiting AND Retention for a Mega Chapter!
